With her family watching TV, Di grabbed her laptop and stole away to her bedroom. With a friend’s words in her head – “You’ve never watched porn? God, Di, loosen up!” – she navigated, tremblingly, to an adult website. After clicking on a random link she was dumped by a tsunami-like hot flush. Disorientated, she took an age to surface – and register the pounding on her door. “Mum! Gross! Your Bluetooth’s on! The speaker’s in the living room!” Mortified, Di slammed shut her laptop and considered her options: Face the music, or climb out the window and burn the house down
