Icebergs from Above, 2020

The Bondi Icebergs Winter Swimming Club was formed in 1929. During the Great Depression the “Chicken Swim” was devised where swimmers could compete for a take home chicken. The event remains today. The club became a licensed club in the 1960s, moving out of a “tin shed” into more opulent surrounds. It remains the only licensed Winter Swimming Club in the world.
